RICHARD DOIRON, dubbed Canada's peace poet: work in print for 62 years; published in hundreds of anthologies, periodicals, personal books; author of novels, biographical works, essays, and lyricist.(Author of iconic Acadian song, "Mon Acadie," 1994.) Graduate in journalism and Certified Lifeskills Coach; 1999 published in world book, "Prayers For A Thousand Years," alongide the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu, by invitation; work read at UN 2000, translated into all major languages at the time; 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award winner World Poetry; 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award Pentasi B World Friendship Poetry; 2019 named World Poet Laureate by the group Pentasi B World Friendship Poetry. 2019 Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, via Dr. Epitacio Tongohan, Philippines.
