Our 2011 AGM will be held in Sussex,
May 13 - 15. The program is now online!
Our AGM, part of our WordSpring celebration, is held in different locations each year,
normally in late April or May. Regular events include the General
Business Meeting, special guest readers, launchings, workshops, the
gala dinner, displays of members books and writing-related information.
Business
Meeting Agenda
The past
year's activities are recounted in the President's Report. A financial
statement for the previous year is given by the Treasurer and Executive
Director. Reports from coordinators of programs and committee chairs
are presented. Changes to the by-laws are discussed and voted on at
this time. The members of the Board of Directors are also elected for
the coming year. A slate of officers is presented by a nominating
committee.

The main
focus of this event is the announcement and presentation of prizes to
the winners of the Annual Literary Competition.
WordsFall
WordsFall
replaces our Fall Fair. Our first WordsFall was held in
Florenceville-Bristol and was quite wonderful. Our 2010
WordsFall was set in Miramichi.
Northrop
Frye Festival in Moncton
Since 2007, WFNB has proudly taken part in
Moncton's prestigious Northrop
Frye Literary Festival. The
collaboration, featuring readings by WFNB members and one
festival author, has been a tremendous success and promises to be a
yearly highlight for both the WFNB and the Frye Festival.
Mill Write
in Fords Mills
Since 2009 WFNB has provided authors for Mill Write, which is held at
the Greenwood Lodge in Fords Mills, NB.
