Past winners comments:

Please convey to the Board of Directors of WFNB and to Jo-Anne Elder, Judge in the Poetry Category of the 2009 Literary Competition, my sincere thanks for being named first place winner for my poem, “Celtic Trilogy”.  I am most honored to be the recipient of this award and the evening at the Literary Awards Banquet will remain forever in my memory as a highlight in my writing career.

Thank you for giving a “late comer” to the writing world an opportunity to grow and develop. This has given me courage and confidence to continue.

Sincerely,

Margaret Patricia Eaton

Dear contest administrators,

My manuscript, ACADIAN STAR, placed second in your writing competition this year in the Children’s Literature category. Since then, I’m happy to say, I’ve found a publisher and ACADIAN STAR will be published this fall by Nimbus Publishing. I thought you would like to know what a wonderful impact your competition has had on one writer’s life.

Sincere thanks to Sylvia McNicoll and the WFNB for the hard work in judging and executing this competition.

All the best,

Hélène Boudreau
