International Quill & Quire Poetry Contest

“Welcome poets to the first annual International Quill Quarrel poetry contest! The contest willhereafter be referred to as the IQQ. Entries will be accepted from August 15th to October 15th,2012. Writers of any age or education are invited to participate. There is a reading fee of $5.00 perpoem. Up to four poems may be entered per submission, for a maximum of $20.00.  Ten percent ofall fees collected shall be returned in the form of cash prizes awarded to the top three poems anddivided as follows: First place will receive 5%, second place will receive 3%, and third place will receive2%. Due to the prizes being awarded as a percentage of poems submitted, the totals cannot beforetold. Updates shall be made each week to show the amount of entries received.

 

( For those of us who are brilliant with words but not at math; if as few as 1000 poems aresubmitted, that would mean 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shall be awarded $250.00, $150.00, and $100.00respectively )”
